For as long as she can remember Jamie’s family has been escaping the frigid cold winters in Milton, Ontario Canada. Of all the beautiful sun kissed beaches they flew to from Toronto Pearson International airport, Costa Rica quickly became their favorite winter getaway. When asked why she loves Costa Rica, her answer is, “What’s not to love about sunny days, swimming and surfing in the warm ocean water of the Central Pacific, exploring the lush tropical, biodiverse rainforests, dining on real food as fresh as it gets, the rhythm of Latino music, or the laid back ‘Pura Vida’ culture along with the friendly happy faces of the Costa Rican people?” After several years of returning to Costa Rica, Jamie’s little brother married a beautiful Costa Rican woman, and so it was set in stone as the family’s regular destination. This turned out great, the newlyweds settled in the beautiful mountains of Atenas and visit the family often at the world famous Jaco Beach. It wasn’t long until Jamie decided to spread the word about the small country with the big heart and became a certified Costa Rica Travel Specialist. Whether looking for a lively nightlife, hanging in a hammock at the beach, surf lessons, action packed excursions including on 4x4 or horseback, photographing the breathtaking scenery as well unique wildlife such as monkeys, sloths, butterflies and some of the 800 + species of birds, Costa Rica promises it all and more!
